MSNBC is running a list of all the hosts and musical guests over Saturday Night Live's 29 seasons. Based on this, I can guess that I started half-watching the show in season 13 (1988).

The list of musical guests is wild. A couple highlights:

November 15, 1975 ABBA, Loudon Wainwright III
November 20, 1976 Paul Simon, George Harrison
November 27, 1976 Brian Wilson
December 2, 1978 Garrett Morris (???!!!)
December 16, 1978 Peter Tosh with Mick Jagger
November 14, 1981 The Go-Gos, Billy Joel
December 13, 1986 The Pretenders & Buster Poindexter (would have had to endure Steve Gutenburg as host)
November 14, 1992 Morrissey
October 19, 2002 White Stripes

I wonder why they quit having two musical guests.

Tomorrow night, Scissor Sisters are on.
