The Wheel In The Sky Keeps on Turning
Monday, December 20, 2004 at 4:00PM 1 Comment Local Winthrop Political Science professor John Holder went on "Wheel of Fortune" in September. His show aired tonight, and he invited some friends and neighbors to watch with him.
We gathered at Tam's Tavern expecting to find ten or twenty people. It was more like 150. John had food and an open bar, the first clue to how well he did.
John won most of the puzzles, made it to the final round, and walked away with over $50,000. Not bad for half an hour's work. But from all indications, it hasn't gone to his head, even though Pat did make a passing comparison of John to Ken Jennings.
