A New Pixies Song
Thursday, June 17, 2004 at 3:45PM 1 Comment iTunes is fronting a new Pixies song, called "Bam Thwok," and it sounds pretty good from the 30-second clip. I'm not going to buy it though. It's a Kim Deal lead, which I don't remember happening often besides "Gigantic." Is this the only song they recorded, or is it a preview of more to come? Could there possibly be a new Pixies album?
I've always been a pretty casual Pixies fan, but seeing all the love for their return has just been an amazing thing. It's one of those reunions that was seriously never going to happen, like The Smiths. But lo and behold.
As of right now, "Bam Thwok" is number three on the iTunes download chart for the day. Nice.

pitchfork said that a new studio album was possible, but there were no definites. if you want pixies news, you should probably keep an eye on pitchfork, because if black francis farts, they squeal about it.
