So No Lollapalooza, Eh?

Well, that's the big news for today. Lollapalooza has cancelled all dates. I am less pissed off than I am just kinda sad, as it looks like this may be the end. So I never saw Jerry Garcia play with the Dead - that would have been nice but I can certainly live without it. Having Lollapalooza yanked out from under me quite possibly forever and after I'd bought tickets is just brutal. I can only hope that maybe Morrissey or Flaming Lips will see fit to come this way since the calendar just got a lot more freed up.

Sigh. Why couldn't they have cancelled Bonaroo instead?

In happier news, Fountains of Wayne is playing in Charlotte on Friday night. It's part of a mini-festival a radio station here is putting on, so they'll probably only play for about half an hour, but it's FOW so I hope to go.

i hope you got a refund on your tickets. now i feel bad buying Curiosa tickets instead. morrissey better come around. and if you haven't seen the flaming lips live, prepare for a lot of wierdness.
