Shows I've Never Seen

As a creature of habit, I find something I like and stick with it. That's why I still watch "The Simpsons" every Sunday night, even though it's merely a shadow of its former self. So I don't always jump onto the newest TV trends when they first hit. Sometimes I jump on them belatedly and reluctantly; sometimes never at all.

In the spirit of my ongoing excommunitcation from the cultural mainstream, I've decided to compile a list of television shows I've never seen. I'm sure some of them are great. Here, in no particular order, they are:

  • "Amazing Race, The"
  • "Charmed"
  • "Cold Case"
  • "CSI" (any version)
  • "Dawson's Creek" - Even though it was filmed in NC and my sister-in-law did extra work on it
  • "Deadwood"
  • "ER"
  • "Fear Factor" - Seriously. Who the hell is watching this one? I want to know.
  • "Gilmore Girls"
  • "Law and Order" (any version)
  • "Sopranos, The"
  • "Star Trek" - I saw The Next Generation a couple of times, but any other version, whatever.
  • "Suvivor" or any reality show except "Joe Schmo" which doesn't really count
  • "That Seventies Show"
  • "X Files, The"

This list could be greatly expanded for shows throughout the years, like "Hill Street Blues" or "90210," and just because something's not on this list doesn't mean I've seen it - these are just the ones I could think of right off. I'm not trying to impress anyone by proudly not watching these shows. I like TV, I watch TV - just not a lot of different stuff.

Some of these shows have been on for like years. They'll say "Tuesday, on an all-new 'King of Queens'..." and you know you've been hearing these promos for years but you've never actually seen the freaking show - who the f is actually watching it??
