X Games Highly Addictive

The X Games had never appealed to me. They seemed such a part of the "Do The Dew," Gen-X, stick "extreme" at the end of every product name marketing thing that I refused to watch out of principle (that'll learn 'em).
But ESPN - a network whose quality of programming has degenerated precipitously - and ABC have been showing this stuff for the last couple of days, and it's pretty great. Especially the skateboard stuff. Watching this guy Danny Way zoom down a seventy-foot ramp and do tricks in mid-air is absolutely incredible. This blows the doors off the sentimentality of the Olympics coverage.
Plus, it really makes me want to break out SSX3. That game and the Grand Theft Auto series have become the only reason for owning a PlayStation.

X Games. The only sport I've ever been able to watch with utter fascination for more than four minutes. It doesn't hurt that the guys are all reasonably cute, skinny, and not off-puttingly buff or hairy.
