Baby Class

We've been attending baby class over the past several weeks in advance of the arrival of our little girl in April. The classes have been good, ranging from the pregnancy experience to infant CPR to what to actually do with the baby once we get her home. I actually got to change a diaper on a baby doll last night. It wasn't too bad. Of course, it was also inanimate. Apparently, turning them over by their arms is "frowned upon" when dealing with the real thing.

On Wednesday at the pregnancy class, they showed the video. I had been waiting for the video, and at the same time dreading it. Somehow I had managed to get through my first thirty-three years of life without actually seeing what was on the video. I'm not going to go into detail here, but this video showed absolutely everything. Close up. And then after it showed everything, it showed some stuff that I didn't really know about and don't think I should ever have to see again. The miricle of life is beautiful, and yet, gross.

But I'm sure I'll be fine when the moment of truth rolls around in three short months.

you think the VIDEO is gross? dude, just wait until you see the real thing! super gross. actually, it was really cool and amazing to see my nephew's little grey head pop out. but still, quite grody.
i'm an aunt again! my brother's wife just had her a little girl. i still don't know what her name is; i don't think they came up with one. still, she's my first niece ever. wheeeeee!
