Pondering the Switch

1 Comment I've caught the Mac bug. I resisted over all these years of hanging out with home musicians and Web and graphic designers, but now, it's got me. I think I've been completely seduced by my experience with the iPod.
Switching teams is not to be taken lightly, and so it's not something I've decided that I am definitely doing. Even if I did switch, I would have to have a PC laptop around to store my huge Outlook .pst and Microsoft Money files. But the more I think about it, the more I can see myself functioning with a Mac as my primary machine and a Windows laptop as a secondary one.
Another thing that's pretty seductive is Apple Logic. I've been doing some reading, and this thing looks awesome. I still haven't decided how I want to record music at home (Cakewalk? Pro Tools Mbox? Jeez, both??), but this looks like an elegant solution. Plus, Apple is rumored to be releasing an audio interface called "Asteroid" soon.
Now if I only had about three grand lying around for a tricked-out Mac and Logic.
And another three grand for this sweet 30-inch cinema display. Might be awhile.
