First the Charlotte Bobcats win the first game in their new arena in a thrilling from-behind overtime victory against the Boston Celtics, then the Carolina Panthers take the Tampa Bay Bucs to the woodshed for the fifth straight time. Then - to cap it all off - two Panthers cheerleaders get arrested in a Tampa nightclub. For sex acts. With each other. From The Charlotte Observer:
The police report claims the two cheerleaders were having sex with each other in a stall at the bar when other patrons got angry they were taking so long in the bathroom...The cheerleaders made the trip to Tampa on their own.
Cheerleaders are on the sidelines only at home games. Team officials at Sunday afternoon's game said they were aware of the report, but declined further comment.
It's thankfully been a quiet few years in the controversy department for the Panthers. This ought to stir things up a little bit. And it's the kind of controversy that, as a Panthers fan, I can really get behind.

I am sure the media are having a field day, and since the cheerleaders are called Top Cats, the feline pun possibilities abound. "Cat Fight," indeed.
