Like a Virgin

To try to get used to Mac stuff, I've started using iTunes as my PC music jukebox. There are a couple things I don't like, like the inability to customize the file name format when songs are ripped, but overall, it's good - especially the selections on the Net radio tuner.

I've been listening almost nonstop to iTunes' 128k Virgin Radio UK broadcast, in the Alt/Modern Rock streaming area. It's absolutely amazing.  With a contstant stream of Britpop, they'll play The Beautiful South followed by John Lennon followed by Keane (like they just did). They also have no shame in throwing in an occasional Bon Jovi song, which, I, um, hate. Yeah.

On weekends, they also keep me up to date with the latest football scores. C'mon, Middlesbrough, I know you can do better!

Even the commercials are great. Dat was a lotta how's yer fathuh, eh. Thanks, Richard Branson!
