Was That Jason Falkner?

It kinda looked like former Jellyfisher and current all around power-pop badass  Jason Falkner playing guitar for Paul McCartney during last night's Superbowl halftime, but I don't know for sure and I haven't been able to find anything about it online.

But it is certainly true that Falkner has been recording with Paul McCartney in one of those providential coming-togethers that make music geeks like me extra happy.

In other Falkner news, both he and Owsley appear on Not Lame's  spankin' new Cars tribute, "Substitution Mass Confusion." Nice to see The Cars getting their due. I think they're enjoying a bit of resurgence, as I've heard two Cars songs in commericals lately.  Hear clips from the tribute here.
