Finally Ordered a Mac

Completely switching isn't really practical, but I finally bit the bullet and ordered a PowerMac. We'll be using it primarily for graphic design, Web development, video, and music production. Here are the specs:

  • Processor: Dual 2.0GHz PowerPC G5
  • Memory: 1GB MB DDR400
  • Hard Drive: 250GB Serial ATA-7200rpm
  • Optical Drive: 16x SD DL(DVD-R/CD-RW)
  • Graphic Support: ATI Radeon 9600 XT w/128MB
  • Wireless: Bluetooth Module

I also picked up Logic Express. I'm going to start with Garageband 2, work my way to Logic Express, and if I do well with Logic Express, eventually go to full Logic (apparently Logic and Logic Express are both rather difficult to get up to speed with).

I'll also need to get some sort of basic ardware audio interface, preferably Firewire, and preferably not too expensive.
