Chimpanzee That: Ricky Gervais

To me, podcasting is more hype than killer app. I've subscribed to "Meet The Press" (media vs. politicians), "On The Media" (media vs. media), and "Charlotte Talks." Very nice to be able to listen to these shows on my own schedule. And I recently added the world's most popular podcast, 'The Ricky Gervais Show." Now that's entertainment.

The show is a twelve-week run (but they've promised more) that is really a showcase for the bizarre mind of cohost Karl Pilkington. In fact, Ricky Gervais is actually just kind of annoying, cackling, shouting "IDIOT" at Karl, and going on about the shape of his head. But the real entertainment comes from Karl's unique storytelling, monkey news updates, odd attempts to explain proverbs, and observations on the world around him (why don't you often see Chinese homeless people?)
