iTunes Tip: Join Tracks

Despite the new Gapless Playback feature in iTunes 7, if you're ripping a CD whose tracks seamlessly blend into each other, it's usually best to just append the tracks to each other. When iTunes is displaying the list of tracks on the CD, select one or more adjoining tracks that you want to combine (this may work for non-adjoining tracks but I haven't tried it). Then, on the Advanced menu, click Join CD Tracks to combine the tracks, and then import the file. Hear "Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End/Her Majesty" the way they were meant to be heard!
